Mardi, nous rapportions que Google avait décidé de couper à Numerama l’accès à sa régie publicitaire Google AdSense, en nous intimant de censurer une photographie d’art d’une femme posant nue pour pouvoir retrouver l’accès aux ressources publicitaires dont nous dépendons pour partie. Ironie du sort, la photo était issue d’un article dans lequel nous critiquions la décision de Facebook de censurer la page du Musée du Jeu de Paume, dont cette photographie de Laure Albin Guillot était issue. Nous y dénoncions la volonté des géants du web américains d’imposer partout dans le monde la culture pudibonde américaine, qui tolère les pires violences mais pas l’image du corps humain dans son état le plus naturel.
Dans son démenti, M. Clapper ne revient pas sur une autre information publiée par Le Monde mardi qui indiquait que les représentations diplomatiques françaises aux Etats-Unis avaient été également espionnées.

It is hard for me to understand why intelligent people like David Byrne and Thom Yorke do not appear to understand that we are in the midst of new markets being formed. I would also add that many journalists and media commentators don’t understand this phenomenon either. It is not about technology; it’s about systems and societal shifts. It’s also about music business bubbles.
