Mais alors que les restrictions sur les offres mobiles sont anciennes (et d’une certaine manière indispensables pour gérer des ondes en quantité limitée), c’est la première fois que nous voyons Orange violer très officiellement la neutralité des réseaux sur une offre d’accès à internet fixe. En effet, comme l’a remarqué @klorydryk, Orange démarche des clients professionnels pour leur proposer une offre Fibre Pro d’Orange, en précisant dans son courrier que “VoIP, Peer to Peer, streaming vidéo et Newsgroups (sont) interdits”.

No doubt many would prefer the countryless world of the Internet to be protected by the kind of strict and enforceable laws that are possible within national boundaries. That’s not in the cards anytime soon.

Those who have suffered discrimination have paid the greatest price for this lack of legal protection. But ultimately we all pay a price. If our coworkers cannot be themselves in the workplace, they certainly cannot be their best selves. When that happens, we undermine people’s potential and deny ourselves and our society the full benefits of those individuals’ talents.
