We’d been discussing doing a visualization of mobile data, and while he was researching into what was available, Alasdair discovered this file. At first we weren’t sure how much data was there, but after we dug further and visualized the extracted data, it became clear that there was a scary amount of detail on our movements. It also became obvious that at least some other people knew about it, but it wasn’t being publicized.

Observer l’évolution d’un projet de loi depuis sa version initiale jusqu’à celle promulguée au Journal Officiel permettra d’identifier les parcelles de texte modifiées par voie d’amendement. En qualifiant la nature substantielle ou cosmétique de ces amendements et en repérant leurs auteurs et les débats associés, nous nous proposons de créer les données permettant d’étudier dans quelle mesure le Parlement participe concrètement à l’écriture de la loi. À l’image du travail réalisé par Ben Fry au MIT sur l’oeuvre de Darwin, nous pourrons ensuite créer des visualisations innovantes afin d’évaluer d’un simple coup d’oeil l’évolution de la législation et l’impact de chacun de ses auteurs.
