AlphaGo Zero: Learning from scratch

«The paper introduces AlphaGo Zero, the latest evolution of AlphaGo, the first computer program to defeat a world champion at the ancient Chinese game of Go. Zero is even more powerful and is arguably the strongest Go player in history. Previous versions of AlphaGo initially trained on thousands of human amateur and professional games to learn how to play Go. AlphaGo Zero skips this step and learns to play simply by playing games against itself, starting from completely random play».

«Plusieurs bâtiments, situés à quelques dizaines de mètres de la gare principale de Zurich, sont finis ou en voie de l’être. D’ici à 2020, voire 2021, la ville devrait compter environ 5000 collaborateurs dans plusieurs endroits. «Since phishing has become much more common, network administrators have made a habit of telling users never to click on password reset links that go to different domains. Because of the way that Google has implemented AMP, however, Gmail users and people using Google apps for institutional use are now more vulnerable to such attacks. « Physicists are excited when there’s something wrong with physics, and we’re in a situation now where there’s not a lot that’s wrong »
Boykin is no longer a physicist. He’s a Silicon Valley software engineer. And it’s a very good time to be one of those.
In other words, all the physicists pushing into the realm of the Silicon Valley engineer is a sign of a much bigger change to come. Soon, all the Silicon Valley engineers will push into the realm of the physicist.
